ECIU universities signed the Sustainable Campus Charter
During the last Board Meeting, several ECIU universities signed the Sustainable Campus Charter. With signing the Charter the first official step has been made in setting up an ECIU network for a sustainable campus that distinguishes ECIU from other university networks. The working group “Sustainable Campus” has been very active since the last Executive Board Meeting and hold meetings in Linköping and in Lausanne to discuss and finalize the Sustainable Campus Charter. The working group will now dedicate its efforts to implement the Sustainable Campus general strategy that had previously been approved by the Board. This implies that the working group will focus on formulating indicators to manage the three dimensions (economic, social and environmental) of the Sustainable Charter and work with each member of ECIU to formulate concrete goals per theme and to perform a benchmark. The benchmark will also be used to highlight best practices.
