Location
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the central campus is in Bellaterra (Cerdanyola del Vallès), 20km outside Barcelona. It is located only 25 minutes from central Barcelona. The Bellaterra Campus is located in the heart of one of the main industrial and technological centres of Mediterranean Europe.

Accommodation
The UAB has on campus accommodation for more than 2000 students at Vila Universitaria (prices ranging 272€-476€). Vila also offers rooms outside the campus and downtown Barcelona. For conventions and short stays there is the Campus Hotel.

Living Costs
As an estimate, a student in Barcelona will need around 500€-800€ per month on housing, living expenses and study material.

The currency in Spain is the Euro €

Visas
Students from outside the European Union must obtain a D-Type visa before leaving their country in the nearest Spanish Embassy or Consulate. Without the visa students cannot obtain the Student Card they need to be a legal resident in Spain. Structure of University
The UAB develops its structure on three campuses. The main UAB campus hosts the Scientific and Technological cluster (Faculty of Life Sciences, Engineering School, Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, Science and Technology Park, the Spanish Council for Scientific Research, etc.) and Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences as well. The Sabadell campus is committed to Technology and Business. The Campus in Hospital de Sant Pau with historical modernist pavilions is our Health Sciences centre. All the departments, Science and Technology services, research centres and institutes, centres at the Science and Technology Park, and university hospitals make up the research consortium known as Esfera UAB.

Education Structure
The academic system makes it possible to combine different fields, with a renowned teaching quality. There is a wide variety of courses (covering fields as diverse as humanities, social sciences, health sciences, experimental sciences and engineering) which provide the students with a large amount of practical experience, helping them to be better prepared as they enter the professional world. The UAB also offers doctoral, postgraduate studies and continuing education courses, enabling the students to permanently increase and update their knowledge and to specialize in new areas.

Student Life
We are one of the few universities in Spain to have a university campus. The UAB's infrastructure was created exclusively for university life and the campus provides all the services needed for academic, leisure and everyday life, in the very heart of nature.
